Global warming and the 2nd law of thermodynamics ?

alright i'm kind of confused so I need help clarifying..global warming is saying that because of all the fuels we are burning they are getting trapped by our atmosphere through greenhouse gases and thus heating the earth more than it should right? but if the 2nd law of thermodynamics says that whenever we do any sort of energy change heat dissipates to a cooler region why is it getting trapped there? why does only some of it go out into space but not all of it or most or it. is our atmosphere able to block energy transfers? i'm just so confused lol please help|||Do you feel it getting hotter?
