I want to be able to transfer a movie from my hard disk onto a DVD disk and get it to play on my DVD player .?

I have blank DVDs and a DVD RW Writemaster. I have downloaded many programs that should allow me to burn a DVD. When I carry out the Burn process the computer transfers the movie onto the disk. It plays OK on my computer but will not play on my DVD Region 2 player WHY?????|||use nero

check your dvd wont play on other players too might be your player|||not all dvd players will play dvd r/rw check ur machine if its fine then i suggest using nero 7, make sure u get all the plug ins and codecs too|||It sounds like the the files you have downloaded aren't in DVD format, ie VOB format. Say you downloaded some DivX movie you'll need a program like Win AVI Video Converter available from http://www.winavi.com/, then after converting, use Nero to burn the DVD VOB files.|||Not all DVD players can play a region 2 disc i would make sure that is in the correct region - you can select a region code in the DVDshrink program and use nero to burn
